It's a tradition. On Sunday, Nov. 11, Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ will honor veterans, and will also welcome back the Suncoast Brass.

The ensemble will provide most of the music for both the 9 a.m. blended service and the 11 a.m. traditional worship service. The blended-service musicians - song leader and saxophonist Shawn Allison, pianist Abbey Allison, and guitarist Dave Dust - will also play at the 9 a.m. service; and the Chancel Choir will sing at the 11 a.m. service.

The musicians of the Suncoast Brass are Cindy Scaruffi-Klispie, trumpet; Alan R. Klispie, trumpet; Dana Williams, French horn; Jamie Marshall, trombone; and Tom Kracmer, tuba. All have extensive and impressive musical backgrounds.

The Suncoast Brass has provided quality brass playing to Southwest Florida since 1989. The ensemble has performed at college events, church services, concert series, weddings, bar mitzvahs, parties, weddings, Ft. Myers “Lunch on the Lawn,” Sunrise Easter Services in Ft. Myers, the Ritz-Carlton, Sanibel’s Bach on the Beach, The Arcade Theater, the Southwest Florida Symphony, and the Liberty Singers. Their extensive repertoire includes classical, contemporary, dixieland, jazz, marches, and Broadway musicals.
